Blanket Inspiration

I have new inspiration!!

Last night I was working on the lapghan for the Beef n Beer and just threw on something that I didn’t need to pay too much attention to. That turned out to be an old Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode. The one titled Living Conditions to be exact. The one moment I decided to look up at the tv screen I was stunned, shocked, excited, and giddy at all once! There sitting at the end of Buffy’s roomie’s bed was a crocheted blanket! It was a granny square blanket. But not just your regular old granny squares. These look to be about 12″ x 12″ and each a solid color. I browsed the net looking for a picture because silly me didn’t think to pause the show and snap one myself.

I mean come oonnnnnn!! Look at how amazing that blanket is!! I knew from the moment I saw it that I would be making one like this. Most likely not those colors. I know you’re all thinking “But Jess, you’re working on so much right now. Including 4 blankets. How can you start another?” Thanks for your concern and great question. Answer: I won’t start now. Really you should know me by now. I RARELY make anything for myself. So I probably won’t start this for another 4 years. sigh. Doesn’t matter when I start really because it’s such an amazing blanket. Not sure why I love it so much. Probably the simplicity. Don’t fret though. I will let you all know when I do start this project.
