In November 2015 I made my cousin A a hat and mitten set for her second child. I swear I make items that are not baby related! I made her a couple hats a couple years previously for her first child and wanted something a little different for this guy. So he got a Hungry Caterpillar Hat. It’s so cute!
For the base of the hat I used (can you guess?) CTbL’s Infant Basic Beanie size 0-3 months in Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in Scarlet with a 4.0mm hook. Perfect! For the eyes, nose, and antennas I used Hand Me Down Hobby’s Hungry Caterpillar Baby Hat Pattern. I used Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in Duckie and Kelly Green and RHSS in Dark Orchid. Absolutely perfect!! I did not have any issues reading the pattern. Definitely will be checking out some of her other patterns and I recommend you do as well!!
